Confidentiality
The law protects that anything discussed between a client and a psychotherapist be confidential, and information cannot be disclosed without your consent.

- Suspected child abuse or elder abuse. I am required by law to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.
- If there is a reasonable suspicion that a client is in danger of violence to others, I am required to report this.
- If there is reasonable suspicion that a client intends to harm him/herself, I will make every effort to get their cooperation in ensuring his/her safety. However, if the client does not cooperate a safety plan, I will take measures without his/her consent to keep the client safe.
